Commissioned work is one of the most unique gifts you can give yourself or someone you love. Amber Block recognizes the intimacy of a commissioned work and is focused on capturing the desire and vision of her client. During the consultation process the many elements that make up the proposed work are discussed. This includes subject matter, size, colour, technique, style, even the desired emotional response. The client is involved in the creative process and in the end a personal treasure is produced.
Interior Design
Striving for consistency and spontaneity in home decor is a challenge. You have an innate style which evolves with your life experience. Exposure to different people and cultures influence your taste in food, clothes, movies, music, to your taste in art. Your home decor is no exception. Interior design services begin with you - what you like and enjoy. In the first session, consultations begin with an exploration of your personal style - examining a variety of design styles to identify what you like and dislike. A long range vision is discussed with an emphasis on achieving a balance between your personal tastes and the latest design trends. The second session focuses on a more thorough colour consultation with the artist to further define your style. The third session involves putting it all together - furniture and accessory arrangement, deletion and purchase.
